Bishop’s Court Farm, in association with Hampstead Jazz Club, proudly presents the hotly anticipated fourth season of The Snug Sessions, a series of very special shows featuring a line-up of some of the brightest stars in contemporary jazz and soul.

Jo Harrop – Mother’s Day Special

Launching the 2024 Snug Sessions at Bishops Court Farm is Singer/Songwriter Jo Harrop. Having just returned from performing at Dizzy’s Jazz Club at the Lincoln Center in New York and SFJazz in San Francisco, Jo is most at home singing smokey torch songs at the piano, and there’s no finer pianist to accompany her, than her MD/ pianist, Paul Edis together with a stellar band.

Lambing season

at Bishop’s Court Farm takes place between 22nd March and 14th April 2024.

On Sunday 31st March and Sunday 14th April (between 11am – 4pm), we will be holding lambing open days when you will have the chance to meet our new-born lambs and meet some of our other animals (alpacas, sheep, goats and pigs). A member of our staff will be on hand to answer any questions and explain what happens during this special time on the farm.

We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £5 per family, which is payable on the day, to help cover the costs for the event.

Private Lambing Experiences

We will also be offering Private Lambing Experiences every weekday from 22nd March – 12 April 2024.

Assist our specialist staff in the lambing shed during this hands-on magical time, plus the possibility of experiencing one of our many ewes giving birth. Each session will last for three hours (from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm), on specified days. Maximum four people per session.

This is a unique opportunity to see a working sheep farm during the most special time of year. We have scheduled our Private Lambing Experience dates to give you the best chance of witnessing a birth during the day, but of course, nothing is guaranteed. If births do happen during your Private Lambing Experience, you can either adopt a hands on approach by assisting with the birth, or you may just want to watch closely from the sidelines. The choice is yours. 

£40 per person. Spaces on our Private Lambing Experience days are limited to ensure the well-being of our animals. Early booking is advisable.

SOUS CHEF  – THE FLEUR DE LYS

The Fleur De Lys is situated in the lovely, picturesque village of Dorchester- on-Thames and has recently come under new ownership. It’s currently undergoing refurbishment and we are keen to get our kitchen team established ready for the grand reopening. We are aiming for a traditional pub menu with twists on the British classic’s. As well as a bar snack menu to run alongside this. Pure and simply is the aim.

This really will be a great venture for a chef with the vision and determination to deliver quality food, whilst overseeing the day to day running of the kitchen.

The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience in a professional environment, an excellent aptitude for delivering high quality food, a keen eye for detail, whilst confidently capable of running an efficient service. Must also be familiar with designing new menus in collaboration with the Head Chef.

We offer fair working hours in an environment that will enable the ideal candidate the opportunity to achieve a desirable work/life balance. An ideal situation for a chef who wants a life outside of work as well.

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per year | 40 hr week over 2 splits - 3 days | 2 Consecutive days off

COMMIS CHEF  – THE FLEUR DE LYS

This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who not only has the vision but the determination to deliver good quality food.

The ideal candidate must have at least 1 year experience in a professional kitchen with an excellent attitude for providing good quality food with a keen eye for detail. We offer fair working hours, allowing for a great work/life balance. The ideal situation for a chef who wants a life outside of work as well. For the ideal candidate, there is the chance for progression within the company.

PACKAGE
Salary: £20,000-£22,000 per year | Work shifts: 40 hr week | 2 split shifts, 3 days | 2 consecutive days off
